Melanee Haywood is Vice President of Engineering and Common Services at Delta Technology, the wholly owned information technology subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, at its headquarters in Atlanta. Ms. Haywood’s areas of responsibility include enterprise architecture, engineering planning, local and wide area networking, security engineering, middleware messaging and frameworks, and data sourcing and events. She provides thought leadership and strategic direction for a team of 200 architects, systems engineers, and application developers who plan, design and implement technology infrastructure solutions in support of Delta Air Lines’ business units. She has more than 25 years of information technology experience. Ms. Haywood came to Delta in 1980 as a computer programmer. Since that time, she has held various positions within Delta and Delta Technology. Most recently, she served as Director of MidTier Engineering. A native of Raleigh, NC, Ms. Haywood graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga. with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
